Norton Rose Australia has boosted its banking practice in Perth with a partner from Jones Day.
Herman Yip, who is Norton Rose Australia’s eighth lateral hire this year, began his career at Freehills and then moved to Norton Rose’s Singapore office in 1999 before leaving to join Jones Day’s partnership in Singapore in 2006.
Yip focuses on project and corporate structured financings, representing banks, investment funds, project developers and corporate borrowers. He is a specialist in senior syndicated loans, mezzanine debt facilities, synthetic equity loans, convertible and exchangeable debt facilities and derivative-linked financing transactions.
