North West housing association collective names panel of 10

Six housing associations in the North West of England have completed their first-ever joint legal panel, with 10 national and regional firms appointed.

Anthony Collins, Berrymans Lace Mawer, Brabners Chaffe Street, Cobbetts, Coffin Mew, Devonshires, Forbes, Howarth Goodman, Mace & Jones and Weightmans have all won places on the Generate Group framework.

The firms will advise across housing, property, employment and pensions, corporate and governance, commercial, funding, litigation, business restructuring and projects.

The framework is led by Generate Group, an informal network of social housing chief executives composed of Chester & District Housing Trust, Halton Housing Trust, Knowsley Housing Trust, Leeds Federated Housing Association and Stafford and Rural Homes. The Arena Group is also a member.

Chief executive of Halton Housing Trust Nick Atkin said: “At a time of economic uncertainty and financial challenge our customers have directly benefited
from the significant savings we’ve made through our frameworks.”

A spokesperson for Fusion 21, which is facilitating the framework, said: “Any social housing provider nationally who wants to generate efficiencies can use it.”
