North West firm appoints non-lawyer chair

North West firm Mace & Jones has hired the former chief executive of financial services firm Rathbone Brothers as its first ever non-lawyer chairman.

Roy Morris joins the firm in the newly-created role to help further its growth across the region. He is currently a non-executive director of Rathbone Brothers, having previously been its managing director and chief executive.

Morris is also chair of the Merseyside regeneration organisation the Mersey Partnership, regional chair of the Yorkshire Bank and chair of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Foundation.

Mace & Jones managing partner Lawrence Downey said that Morris’s hire was part of Mace & Jones’s strategy for long-term growth.
