Two former Lovells Berlin partners have found a new home at Macfarlanes’ German ally Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz.
The public private partnership-focussed partners join at a time of rapid growth for Nörr, which has started the new year by promoting five internally to the partnership. The firm also raided Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for two partners in September.
Former Lovells partners Alexander von Negenborn and Olav Wagner joined Norr’s Berlin office on 1 January.
The promotions see a growth to 74 equity partners across the firm. Co-managing partner Dieter Schenk said it represented a 10 per cent increase in the partnership for the Munich-based firm that also has six offices in Central and Eastern Europe.
Schenk said: “These [promotions] reflect our double digit growth in turnover and personnel.”
The newly promoted partners include two in Berlin and one each in Munich, Dusseldorf and Bucharest.
The partners focus on corporate M&A, labour, telecommunications, media and technology.
Nörr also promoted 12 associates to senior associate.
