Nixon Peabody has raided the New York office of King & Spalding to expand its private equity practice.

Former King & Spalding partner Dominick DeChiara and senior associate Bradley Vaiana both join Nixon Peabody as partners, with DeChiara becoming head of the firm’s leveraged buyout (LBO) practice.

He will work with Charley Jacobs, head of Nixon Peabody’s investment funds practice, and Jon Karis, leader of the emerging companies practice, which together form the three strands of the firm’s private equity practice.

King & Spalding corporate associate Geoffrey Goldschein has also joined Nixon Peabody.

The firm’s LBO practice includes around 30 partners firm wide with 10 based in New York.
