Another nine construction partners left Howrey yesterday including Stephen O’Neal, the former chairman of collapsed US firm Thelen.
O’Neal joined Howrey shortly after Thelen dissolved in November 2008, joining alongside with Thelen’s Washington DC managing partner Andrew Ness and construction chair John Heisse (12 November 2008).
O’Neal now join Jones Day’s San Francisco office along with partners David Buoncristiani, John Foust, Aaron Gruber, Kent Lindsay, Daven Lowhurst and Clark Thiel.
This is Jones Day’s second raid on Howrey following last month’s hire of global IP co-chair William Rooklidge.
Partners Barbara Werther and Stephen Paley left Howrey’s Washington DC construction practice to join local firm Ober Kaler.
A further seven IP partners have left Howrey’s US practice in the past week (15 February 2011).
