Nicholson Graham hires ISL counsel

Nicholson Graham & Jones is taking on the former senior legal counsel at ISL Worldwide as a partner in its cross-departmental sports group.

Jay Gillman-Wells, who was also head of ISL's internet and new media division, will develop exploitation of television and media rights with the intention of creating a one-stop-shop in the firm for broadcasting and internet companies.

Working in-house for an agency which represents sporting federations such as Fifa, Uefa, IAAF, Fiba and Fina, Gillman-Wells says that she acquired a first-hand knowledge of the industry.

The sports group is headed by Warren Phelops and has two assistants.
