On Tuesday human rights group Justice publishes its report on the legal ramifications of the police's growing use of covert investigative methods to tackle crime. It will recommend a single regulatory framework be set up to cover lawful interference with all forms of communications.



This week the Home Office hopes to publish its long-awaited Asylum Bill. Expect plans to regulate immigration advisers, including solicitors, increased powers for the detention of asylum seekers and reform of the initial stages of making a claim.
