Turkish firm Bener Law Office has recruited two partners and promoted a third, boosting its partnership from eight to 11.
Partner Selale Kartal joins Bener from Cerrahoglu Law Firm, where she was head of litigation. Kartal will lead Bener’s dispute resolution team.
Meanwhile Bener has also tempted back real estate partner Funda Ozsel. Ozsel previously worked at Bener before leaving for GSI Meridian two years ago to become the firm’s managing partner. She left GSI last year.
Bener has also promoted litigator Cenk Kisnisci to its partnership. Kisnisci joined Bener in 2004 and advises clients on a broad spectrum of disputes.
The hires and Kisnisci’s promotion follow a strong year for the firm, with turnover up by 21 per cent between 2012 and 2013. Bener will shortly welcome another two associates for its litigation and competition teams, bringing the number of lawyers to 50.
