Nordic firm Magnusson has appointed Nikolaj Juhl Hansen as the managing partner of its Copenhagen office, succeeding Lars Jørgensen.
Juhl Hansen was hired by Magnusson earlier this year from Eversheds, where he was office managing partner (19 February 2013).
Jørgensen has held the role for the past two years and is returning to full-time practice. He has overseen recent growth in Denmark, with a number of lateral hires and advice on deals including a recent Chinese joint venture in the country.
Juhl Hansen spent over five years at Eversheds, including two and a half as office managing partner. At Magnusson he also heads up the firm’s Danish China desk.
Copenhagen was one of Magnusson’s four original offices, launched in 2004 alongside Moscow, Stockholm and Warsaw.
Magnusson has expanded considerably in the past few years, opening offices in a number of countries across the Baltic and Nordic region. Most recently the firm bolted on local form Nordea Baublys to launch in Lithuania (4 March 2013).
