DLA Piper has boosted its Austria office with the hire of Nabucco International Gas Pipeline’s chief legal counsel Andreas Gunst.
The in-house lawyer will join the energy team as a partner after four years as as chief legal counsel and compliance officer at Nabucco, prior to which he was an associate at DLA Piper’s London and Edinburgh offices.
Gunst’s expertise lies in international energy infrastrucutre projects, focusing particualry in the central and south east Europe region.
DLA Piper EMEA co-head of energy sector Irene Hurrel said: “We have a strong, and continually developing, energy practice at DLA Piper that will be further bolstered by the hire of Andreas. His knowledge and reputation in the energy sector are impressive and we look forward to welcoming him back to DLA Piper.”
