Herbert Smith Freehills dominates this week’s headlines. First, the merged firm sent Sydney-based global corporate head Mike Ferraro to London on a mission to revamp legacy Herbies’ corporate department.
Most recently, The Lawyer revealed that legacy Herbert Smith issued a cash call of up to £20m to all equity partners aiming to boost its capital structure to bring it into line with its Australian merger partner Freehills.
Undoubtedly, both sides need to sort out a few challenges ahead of their full financial integration but both are moving toward that unified goal.
Looks like the tie-up between the firms is having the desired effect.
