Stephenson Harwood has appointed London-based partner Richard Parsons as its global head of aviation, succeeding Singapore-based Paul Ng who is joining Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy.
Parsons has been an asset finance partner in Stephenson Harwood since 2009, when he joined from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was a counsel. His practice has a focus on aircraft financing and leasing transactions. His appointment to global aviation head comes after the departure of Ng, who will join Milbank’s Singapore office as a partner.
Parsons and Ng were recruited together by Stephenson Harwood’s international finance head Mark Russell. Ng was previously Freshfields’ head of asset finance for Asia.
Stephenson Harwood CEO Sharon White wished Ng well.
In 2012, the firm hired Saugata Mukherjee as a partner in its aviation and structured finance practice in Singapore. Mukherjee was previously a senior associate in Freshfields’ London office.
