Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has hired US capital markets lawyer James Grandolfo as a partner from Allen & Overy’s Hong Kong office.
Grandolfo previously was A&O’s regional head of the Asia Pacific international capital markets team and head of the Philippines global interest group. He is experienced in the representing issuers and investment banks in debt and equity capital markets transactions.
He is the second partner Milbank has hired from A&O in Asia this year. In June, the firm hired project finance lawyer Aled Davies as a partner in Tokyo, who was previously A&O’s Asia Pacific projects group head (4 June 2013).
The appointments follow the retirement of China and Hong Kong managing partner and Asia corporate head Anthony Root in May.
