Nabarro’s head of infrastructure Matthew Jones is leaving the firm for Taylor Wessing’s construction and engineering group.
Jones, who is qualified to practice in Australia as well as England and Wales, joined Nabarro from Travers Smith in 2006 after leaving CMS Cameron McKenna.
A spokesperson at Taylor Wessing said he was not bringing any associates with him, and declined to comment on his clients. While at the firm Jones will work closely with Taylor Wessing’s real estate group, including the firm’s planning, funds and tax teams, as well as its banking group in relation to real estate acquisition.
Jones said in a statement: “In our business it’s people that matter: the clients whom we advise, our colleagues we work together with and the professional community in which we operate. Those relationships - and the opportunity to provide intelligent and astute advice - help to define who we are.
“I am privileged then to have fond memories and friendships from my time at Nabarro and, looking ahead, will enjoy contributing to Taylor Wessing’s ongoing efforts and success.”
It was not known who is replacing Jones at Nabarro at the time of writing.
