  • If the solicitors are executors it's a reasonable inference that they prepared the Will, in which case one would have expected them to have drafted this legacy with rather more precision.

  • Quite. The gift is to the " Government" not the Government parties. Is there a residuary clause to deal with a possible failure of the gift.? Assume we are talking about the UK Government! Are there any capacity issues?

  • The intention was clear - the gift was to the governmeent NOT teh parties. This is a clear case of conversion or theft - take your pick.
