But step forward Katie Price, aka Jordan, who - in case you haven’t heard - split from her Aussie reality TV star husband Peter Andre back in 2009.
More than three years later the pair are heading back to court as Price accuses Andre, ex-manager Claire Powell, and ex-friend Jamelah Asmar of conspiring to smear her reputation.
Asmar, says Price, was planning to sell to now-defunct tabloid News of the World an affadavit she had written in support of Andre’s intended defamation claim against Now Magazine concerning an article that featured Price. Got that?
Mr Justice Tugendhat has been charged with sorting it all out and has allowed the case to proceed to full trial, although even he conceded he may be proved wrong once the full evidence is heard.
Whatever happens, the battle will become another case that sparks debate about the state of our media laws.
