Orrick’s London office has announced its second major partner hire in the space of a week, with confirmation that the former head of Proskauer’s English law finance practice Michael Crosby is joining the firm.
Crosby will join Orrick as a partner after a period of gardening in leave and will head the firm’s English Law banking and finance practice group in London.
Crosby focuses on representing alternative credit funds, hedge funds and other special situation lenders, private equity sponsors and banks in leveraged financings across Europe. Crosby also has experience in financings in the Middle East and North Africa.
“Michael brings to Orrick’s London office a robust alternative credit provider practice,” said Alex Janes, managing partner of Orrick’s European offices. “In addition, he will strengthen our capabilities to provide English law support for the finance, energy and infrastructure, real estate and corporate finance transactions the firm handles.”
Crosby joined Proskauer in 2008 from Addleshaw Goddard, where he was a partner in the finance and projects division.
