Dundas & Wilson has seen another partner exit the firm with City corporate specialist Julian Mathews joining Wedlake Bell as part of double hire for the London firm.
Mathews specialises in M&A, private equity and corporate real estate, with a particular focus on the hotel, restaurant and leisure sectors. He led the hotel sector team at Dundas, which he joined fom DLA Piper in 2010. Among his clients is Caird Capital.
Meanwhile, Wedlake Bell has brought on board Farrer & Co corporate and capital markets partner Jai Bal, who specialises in M&A, joint ventures and the media and financial service sectors.
Both Mathews and Bal joined the firm as partners in March.
Managing partner Martin Arnold said: “These two high-calibre hires further strengthen our already strong corporate offering, and bring back to Wedlake Bell a focus on the leisure sector, where we were traditionally strong.”
