Brown Rudnick has expanded in London with partner hires into the corporate and white collar crime groups.
Corporate partner Sophie McGrath has joined the firm from Morrison & Foerster (MoFo), while white collar crime specialist Peter Bibby joins from Bingham where he was a partner in the finance practice.
Bibby was central to Bingham’s London expansion, having spent four years as head of enforcement in the Financial Services Authority (FSA). He established a UK financial regulatory group at his former firm with finance partner Helen Marshall.
Brown Rudnick’s white collar practice has doubled in size in the past 12 months and Bibby’s hire follows the hire of Tom Epps as a London-based partner in July 2013 (15 July 2013).
McGrath will work on a range of matters in the corporate practice including private and public mergers, restructurings and governance isuses.
Earlier this month the firm opened in California, after acquiring Orange Country litigation boutique Rus Miliband & Smith.
