CMS Cameron McKenna has re-appointed former partner Martin Brown to its banking and international finance team, a year after Brown left the firm for Ashurst.
Brown trained with CMS, joining in 1998 and becoming a restructuring partner 10 years later. At the time of writing it was not clear why he had decided to leave Ashurst, which he joined in July 2012 (16 July 2012), to return to his former firm.
CMS banking and finance head Rita Lowe said: “Martin’s return will enable us to focus our efforts on our key bank clients and to support our developing roster of funds clients.”
In April CMS promoted nine UK lawyers in a global round of 31 appointments across the CMS network (30 April 2013). The promotions include a lateral hire in London, with former Allen & Overy counsel Tim Elliott promoted to partner in the firm’s international finance team.
In October 2012 the firm also added former DLA Piper partner Peter Crichton to its banking and finance practice (1 October 2012).
