That said, offshore firm Carey Olsen is making itself comfortable in third position. A year ago, it lagged behind Lawrence Graham with 39 clients but has since overtaken its closest rival and trumped it by three to sit pretty on a solid 42 clients.
While those four are currently pulling ahead of the pack, we’d recommend keeping an eye on Field Fisher Waterhouse, which has bounded up the rankings from tenth to fifth position since last October.
Looking to value rather than volume, Slaughters is one to watch, largely thanks to picking up new work for fashion giant Asos over the course of the past year.
Cue plenty of new affordable clobber for the Bunhill Row crew, no doubt.
