A move away from CMS is familiar territory for one of those leaving. Former real estate litigation founding partner Andrew Walker thought he’d left the firm for good when he moved to Dundas in 2012.
But he’s not alone in wanting out. Seven partners have now headed for the door since December ahead of the planned £277m merger this May, a heavyweight deal which will put an end to a lengthy few years of dating at the firm.
The firms are now locked in negotiations over who gets which half of the proverbial shared wardrobe and Dundas co-managing partner Caryn Penley has already been co-opted onto the board.
