The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
News flash: lawyers have lives outside the law. They are normal people with, like, hobbies and stuff.
“Pah! All we lawyers care for is helping our clients’ businesses,” we hear you retort.
Well, how’s this for extra-curricular: longstanding Linklaters corporate partner Richard Godden is helping to bring the four surviving medieval copies of Magna Carta together for the first time in history. Beat that for a bit on the side.
The unification will be held at the British Library in 2015, sparking off a year of celebrations that will mark the document’s 800th anniversary. As the only non-academic on the committee, Godden’s involvement over the last nine months has given Linklaters the opportunity to flash its feathers - the firm is now the sole sponsor to the event.
Godden would like to remind people how important the documents are in enshrining the British rule of law. “We forget them at our peril,” he says. Perhaps Mr Grayling might bear that in mind when considering restrictions to judicial review.
