Allen & Overy (A&O) corporate partner Keith Godfrey has died unexpectedly while he was on holiday with his family. Godfrey, who was 50, joined A&O as an articled clerk in 1974. He qualified in the corporate department and became a partner in 1981. He specialised in corporate finance and general corporate work and was relationship partner to a number of A&O's key clients. Senior partner Guy Beringer says: "Keith's death is a tragic loss and our thoughts are with his family and friends. During his 27 years at A&O, Keith made a significant contribution to the corporate practice and the firm as a whole. He will be missed by us all."
