US firm Steptoe & Johnson has announced the hire of three professionals from Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) for its international environment and life sciences team in Brussels, including partner Ruxandra Cana.
Cana has moved to the US firm along with a senior associate and senior adviser Michel Michaux, who is a chemical engineer.
The team focuses on EU regulatory work with an emphasis on chemicals, cosmetics, consumer products, food and nanotechnology. Steptoe’s global environment practice has a similar focus, notably on chemical regulation, representing companies and trade associations.
The hires continue growth in Steptoe’s Brussels office following last year’s hire of former Dewey & LeBoeuf arbitration partner Pieter Bekker (18 October 2012). The firm now has nine partners in Brussels.
