French corporate boutique Lacourte Balas Raquin has recruited Gide Loyrette Nouel corporate partners Serge Tatar and Renaud Rossa and is rebranding as Lacourte Raquin Tatar.
The duo, both of whom practise corporate and M&A law, join a number of other former Gide lawyers at Lacourte Raquin.
Gide’s former managing partner, Jean-Jacques Raquin, who held the role between 1999 and 2003, moved to Lacourte Balas in 2011 and added his name to the firm’s masthead. Other Lacourte Raquin partners who used to work at Gide are Alexis Le Lièpvre, Sébastien Bonnard and Damien Grosse, who was an associate at Gide.
Tatar has been a partner at Gide for over a decade, while Rossa was made up last year (8 November 2011). The duo’s clients include French household names SNCF and France Télécom.
Lacourte Raquin said the appointments marked a new stage in the firm’s development, helping it diversify away from its core practice areas of property law.
