The appointment continues the growth of DLA Piper’s German presence. Last year the firm hired a team from Dewey & LeBoeuf in Frankfurt (29 May 2012) and two partners from Salans’ Frankfurt office (13 December 2012), as well as appointing Munich IP partner Jan Geert Meents as its new German managing partner (21 June 2012).
DLA Piper currently has 15 partners in Cologne office and 12 corporate partners overall in Germany.
Cleary Gottlieb has a number of other partners in Germany practising corporate law, predominantly based in Frankfurt.
