Chadbourne & Parke represents AES in sale of Ukrainian power company interests
Chadbourne & Parke has represented the AES Corporation in a sale of its interests in AES Kyivoblenergo and AES Rivneoblenergo — two Ukrainian power distribution companies — to VS Energy International.
The Chadbourne team was led by London partner Charez Golvala and Kyiv managing partner Jaroslawa Johnson, with key input from associates Anna Putintseva, Olga Prokopovych, Tetyana Dovgan, Maryna Golovko, Oleksandra Soloviova, Anna Iakubenko, Andriy Kirmach, Alexandra Neovius and Paul White.
The transaction is expected to close by mid-2013 and is subject to Ukrainian regulatory approvals.
AES Kyivoblenergo and AES Rivneoblenergo supply electricity to customers in industrial, residential, agricultural and energy sectors in Kyiv and Rivne regions respectively.
