King & Wood Mallesons hires Tom Fotheringham as senior associate
King & Wood Mallesons has strengthened its regional oil and gas capability with the lateral hire of senior associate Tom Fotheringham to the firm’s Brisbane office.
Fotheringham joins King & Wood Mallesons from Allens Linklaters, where he worked as a senior lawyer in the firm’s energy and resources team for 10 years (including a stint on secondment at INPEX negotiating the structure of the multi-TCF, two-train Ichthys LNG project).
Fotheringham has experience in cross-border transactions, project development, corporate and asset acquisitions and disposals and commodity sale and purchase agreements.
He also brings his considerable mining expertise to the firm, having acted on a number of high-profile matters for clients including Rio Tinto.
Fotheringham joins partner Craig Rogers’ Brisbane oil and gas team, enhancing the King & Wood Mallesons integrated client offering and strengthening the pipeline of senior lawyers in the firm’s mining and metals and oil and gas practices.
