Hogan Lovells partner set to join IATA
Hogan Lovells has announced that Jeffrey N Shane will assume the role of general counsel with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Montreal starting in April.
Shane has served as a partner in the law firm’s aviation practice since 2008. His legal practice has been focused on domestic and international aviation, with an emphasis on regulatory, legislative and transactional representation.
He has frequently advised clients in the air transport sector on high-stakes strategic, policy and diplomatic issues arising in the course of major transactions.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Shane served as under-secretary for policy with the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) for five years. He was also a principal architect of USDOT’s approach to international aviation alliances and antitrust immunity.
