Shoosmiths gets high rank for volume of deals in 2012
Shoosmiths has been ranked number three in the UK Experian Corpfin Advisor League Tables and M&A for volume of deals done in 2012.
Shoosmiths was ranked top in both the South East and South West regions, having completed more deals than any other law firm in those regions last year.
The firm also ranked highly for the number of deals completed in the Midlands, East Anglia and the North.
Shoosmiths’ national corporate team is based in seven UK locations and in 2012 saw a steady growth in the number of deals it advised on.
Partner and national head of corporate at Shoosmiths, Chris Garnett said: ‘In spite of reduced deal volumes in 2012 and continuing market uncertainty, we saw a year-on-year increase in activity which reflects our growing reputation for corporate work.
‘To complete so many transactions last year is really testament to the commitment of our team to do a fantastic job for our clients and their energy and tenacity in getting these deals over the line.’
Shoosmiths’ corporate team advises PLCs and private companies, management teams, equity investors and debt providers, from start up and first-round finance to mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs, development funding, flotations and other exits.
The league table has been compiled from Experian’s UK business database, which contains verified business intelligence, industry news, deal rumours and company financial information.
