  • If firms are interested in tapping into growth in the region - it isn't necessary to establish either a local practice of affiliation relationship. Firms can generate inbound work into their domestic jurisdiction from high-growth Asia markets by establishing an on-the-ground representative business development presence. In that scenario, foreign firms are not competing with domestic incumbent firms - rather cooperating with them - to mutually generate new business. It's an alternative way for foreign law firms to tap into high growth Asia markets.
