  • Head of Client delivery? If AG partners have time on their hands to dream up titles like this matters at what was a pretty decent firm must be poor. Try this on for size - and then potential roll out over a series of transaction - listen to your clients. Think about what they want and what can feasibly be done. Then assign the appropriate teams from a range of disciplines. This team will then complete the transaction as if it were their own business in a timely, commercial and fiscally viable fashion. Rocket science?

  • What a pity that some of those who make strident comments about articles are unwilling to identify themselves. 'Anonymous' is not wrong in his/her assertions but lawyers and law firms could do well to consider that fixed and variable costs are rising faster than the capacity to raise fees/prices. Result; tools have to be developed to lower the cost of service delivery. Addleshaws chose to achieve this by investing in an IT platform capable of systematising service delivery in some areas. In what is a highly competitive market place anyone not doing this is potentially committing commercial suicide.
