Trowers & Hamlins has added seven to its partnership with promotions across its offices in London, Dubai and Manchester.
The bulk of the promotions – five - are London based, with construction lawyer Cheryl Cairns made up in Dubai and housing projects lawyer Kate Boucher in Manchester.
In London the projects and construction partnership is joined by Paul Bartter and Peter Kitson; Imogen Fisher, is made up in banking and finance; Nicola Ihnatowicz joins the employment group; and litigator Steve Nichol completes the group.
It is a reduced round on 2012, when the firm made up 11 partners in its annual round, with seven of the new members based in London (27 March 2012). It was the largest at the firm in a number of years. In 2011 Trowers made up six new partners, all of whom were women, while in 2010 the firm promoted four lawyers to partner (30 March 2010).
Trowers senior partner Jennie Gubbins said the new partners had “successfully demonstrated technical excellence and sound commercial skills whilst also delivering the highest standards of client care”. She added: “This latest round of promotions will help us to strengthen and grow our strategically important areas both in the UK and internationally.”
This week the firm named its Bahrain resident managing partner Dominic O’ Neil as its first international managing partner (3 April 2013).
O’Neil, who will keep his managerial role in Bahrain, will work alongside London-based head of international Martin Amison. The partner also co-heads Trowers’ global private equity practice alongside Gubbins, who was elected as senior partner last July (12 July 2012).
