This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Nabarro has named insolvency and restructuring practice chief Patricia Godfrey as the firm’s new head of international, a position that will earn her a seat on the board.
Godfrey will lead Nabarro’s international committee, which is responsible for overseeing and implementing international priorities and plans. The firm said it was exploring opportunities for international growth following its 2010 launch in Singapore (20 September 2010).
That launch marked a strategic U-turn for the firm, which had traditionally kept its focus on the domestic market.
Godfrey will be responsible for the international expansion plan as well as consolidating and expanding relationships within Nabarro’s European alliance and monitoring the firm’s international groups.
Nabarro senior partner Graham Stedman said of the appointment: “As a board member she will help make sure we capitalise on opportunities to deepen relationships with international clients and explore options to extend our reach to further jurisdictions.”
It emerged last month that Nabarro had called off a potential tie-up with Addleshaw Goddard, another firm that has been reluctant to expand overseas (6 March 2013).
