  • Everybody cheered!

Big ticket work goes to Freshfields. Bond Dickinson responsible for most of the other work.

It's looking like Bond Dickinson is going to report a major increase in PEP and profitability this year. Would a 50% increase in turnover be realistic?

  • Enormously positive news for Bond Dickinson; a law firm punching far above its weight.

Given the vast additional revenue that will flow from this panel, surely the board can now guarantee that there won't be any redundancies at Bond Dickinson this Winter?

  • Even though the merger was just over a month away, the two firms bid in separately.

Suggests to me that both partnerships harboured doubts that the merger would go ahead.

  • Something very interesting is going on. During the last six months Bond Dickinson appear to have become one of the UK's most successful firms at getting selected for panels.

I wonder what is the secret of their success? Are they bidding in cheap? Are they over representing their expertise? Or are they simply one of the best firms in the country?

You are forgetting their biggest achievement to date.

They managed to succesfully merge with the calamitous Dickie Dees without any major PR disasters.

  • I'm guessing that out of the two bids submitted, that Bond Pearce were successful in getting on the Colgate Palmolive panel. Dickie Dees missed out.

However by merging the firms, Dickie Dees staff will now be working on Colgate Palmolive matters, even though a vetting process ruled them out. Happy days.
