Berrymans Lace Mawer (BLM) has expanded its partnership after promoting 17 associates, with the majority of the promotions made in London.
The firm has upped its movement on 2012, when nine were promoted by the firm, and 2011, when eight were made up. Of those promoted this year eight are women - the equivalent of 47 per cent - making it one of the most female-friendly places to be a lawyer
BLM’s personal injury group is the biggest winner with 12 new partners made up across its offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester and Southampton.
In London, where seven partners were made up, all but four are in the PI business. Of the remaining four, David Kidman, Lucy Clements Smith, Monica Bhogal and Rachel Margetts, one joins the product liability team, one in professional indemnity team, one in defamation/privacy, and the latter is made up in healthcare.
