Baker & McKenzie has shaken up the London management committee with partners Helen Bradley and Monica Kurnatowska added to the board.
Corporate partner Bradley and employment partner Kurnatowska have both been elected to the management committee for a two-year term effective from 1 September. They replace Gary Senior and Peter Strivens, who will step down after ten and five years on the committee.

Bradley joined the firm in 1996 and focuses on corporate finance work. She previously served as the head of the corporate finance team. Kurnatowska, joined in 1995, is experienced in transactions and restructuring, employment litigation and collective issues. She was selected as one of The Lawyer Hot 100 2013.
Dispute resolution partner Tom Cassels has been re-elected for another two-year term.
The eight-member management committee is the general management team for the London office. It is chaired by London managing partner Paul Rawlinson, who was elected to the role in January (22 January 2013). Other committee members are HR director Martin Blackburn, chief finance officer Mark Carter, client and business development director Julia Hayhoe, and General Counsel Jonathan Westwell.
Rawlinson has put emerging markets, global compliance and fixed-fee deals at the heart of his strategy for development of the office (15 July 2013).
“This is about putting ourselves in our clients’ shoes,” Rawlinson told The Lawyer. “We’re defining how best to deliver client service across borders and how to do it more consistently. Where we’re getting it right is getting partners and associates to talk to clients on their terms and about their key issues. The plan is all about getting our lawyers to do more of that.”
