Lawyers acting for Spitalfields resident Jackie Remfry are launching judicial review proceedings against the developer of the scheme tipped for Allen & Overy's new headquarters.
The move follows a meeting of Tower Hamlets' planning committee last week, which approved outstanding details for 10 Bishop's Square. Richard Buxton partner Susan Ring and planning barrister Richard Harwood of Eldon Chambers are calling for an environmental impact assessment on the 1997 planning permissions, which they argue are otherwise unlawful. Objectors were told that they could not raise issues going back to the 1997 applications.
