Ashurst has chosen young corporate partner Frédéric Pinet to replace its outgoing Paris managing partner Christopher Crosthwaite.
Pinet, aged just 38, becomes one of the French market’s youngest managing partners. He was selected by his fellow Paris partners and his appointment was confirmed by Ashurst’s international managing board.
As part of his new role, Pinet is charged with consolidating Ashurst’s corporate presence in France, particularly in mergers and acquisitions work. He will also work on building relationships between Paris and the rest of Ashurst’s international network.
Most recently Pinet acted for the Bank of Scotland in its acquisition of the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel in Monaco, but his expertise also covers leveraged buyouts and investment vehicles.
