Olswang and a group of its clients have launched a new network for technology, media and telecoms lawyers.

The BBC, BBC Worldwide and Vodafone have partnered with the City firm to found the TMT peer network, which officially launched with a networking event earlier this autumn.

The network is open to all TMT lawyers and can be joined via its LinkedIn group.

Olswang’s CEO Paul Stevens said: “The TMT Peer Network will foster a knowledge-sharing culture across the TMT space and pave the way for the industry’s future legal leaders.”

BBC Worldwide general counsel Martyn Freeman added: “I am really pleased to see this initiative come to fruition after a trial programme last year. The initiative will offer those involved a great opportunity to gain a broader perspective of the legal issues facing media businesses, and to build a network of likeminded colleagues to help them grow and develop.”
