A new set, Sterling Chambers, is due to launch in April, specialising in blue-chip and white collar immigration
The members of the new set have not been announced, although it is expected to launch with 10 members, including two silks.
Besides immigration, the set will focus on banking and insurance disputes. One of the barristers is a senior member of the Offshore Institute, a body that represents professionals working offshore and in international planning.
The new set is in the middle of drawing up a constitution and has completed a mission statement and marketing plan.
It plans to seek clients in partly untapped parts of the Thames Valley such as Slough and Reading, and focus on knowledge management, such as providing case material and analysis as a marketing tool. The chambers will be based in Staple Inn, London.
