A meeting of the international delegates of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) saw a City partner elected as the group's new president. Jeremy Brown, head of intellectual property, technology and communications at Linklaters & Paines, was voted in during the meeting in Orlando. Made up of 27 member societies representing 35 countries, LESI is the international professional society for those involved in technology transfer and exploitation of intellectual property rights by licensing or other collaborations. Brown is a past president of the UK and Ireland society.
