Last year, Mr Justice Underhill published his review of the Employment Tribunal Rules of Procedure, producing a shorter and simpler set of rules. The government completed a consultation on the draft rules in November 2012 and published its response in March 2013.
The final version of the rules — the Employment Tribunals (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) Regulations 2013 — were laid before Parliament on 31 May 2013 and are due to come into force on 29 July 2013, alongside the introduction of Employment Tribunal fees.
