The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Denton Hall's newly elected UK managing partner is making her mark by introducing sweeping ref-orms to the firm's support services.
Virginia Glastonbury, deputy managing partner to managing partner Jon-athan Tatten, who decided not to stand for re-election, says: "There will be a total review across the board."
Those support services likely to come under the spotlight include IT, marketing and documentation.
Glastonbury says: "Profitability is the key, and there are two parts to that. One is cost cutting and in reviewing services we can make sure they are tailored to the fee earners' needs.
"At the end of the day, what most of our clients need from us is documents. We want documents from across the firm's network to be of high quality and our clients want to be reassured of this."
She adds: "I am going to be very busy. I want to be involved much more with the work groups and with the heads of those departments to make sure they are communicating."
David Moroney will join Glastonbury as a managing partner. Since the firm dec-ided to split the role into two areas, he will be res-ponsible for Dentons' international offices.
Moroney, head of the firm's Asia projects practice and Singapore office, will be replaced by sen ior equity partner Oliver Wright.
Based in London, Moroney says he anticipates his biggest challenge will be coming to terms with the different policies employed in each region. "It is some time since I have been involved in the Middle East, so I have not had so much experience there."
Glastonbury is only the third female managing partner among the UK's top 20 law firms. Nicole Paradise became managing partner at Nabarro Nathanson more than two weeks ago.
Lesley MacDonagh has been managing partner at Lovell White Durrant for the past four years.
