Network Rail decides on panel

Network Rail general counsel and company secretary Hazel Walker finalised a major panel review last month, with Addleshaw Goddard, Bircham Dyson Bell, Lovells and Thomas Eggar securing spots. Conflicts in the highly active rail sector meant that many firms were unable to apply.

Allen & Overy advised the Strategic Rail Authority on the refinancing and restructuring of Network Rail, while Herbert Smith acted for London & Continental Railways, which is heavily involved in the Stratford City development and Olympic 2012 gateway site. Ashurst also has a key role in the rail sector, advising Cross London Rail Links, the company leading the Crossrail project.
