NCTM has assisted Ferrari in a licensing agreement with PortAventura Entertainment SAU, a subsidiary of investment group Investindustrial, that will allow the development of a theme park called Ferrari Land within the resort and existing theme park PortAventura, situated near Barcelona, Spain.
Ferrari Land will cover an area of 75,000m² and will include a range of attractions for fans of the brand, including Europe’s highest and fastest vertical accelerator.
In addition, plans are in the pipeline for the first Ferrari-themed five-star luxury hotel, to be located within PortAventura, complete with 250 bedrooms, restaurants and a driving simulator.
The total investment for the project is expected to be €100m (£84m) and the park will open in 2016. PortAventura welcomes about four million visitors each year, of which 50 per cent come from abroad.
NCTM assisted Ferrari with a team comprising Sante Ricci (equity partner), Angelo Monoriti (salary partner) and Marina Fiorino (associate).
