Nauta Dutilh boosts Brussels team with Van Bael hire

Benelux firm Nauta Dutilh has hired Van Bael & Bellis partner Pascal Faes to boost its Brussels tax expertise.
Faes joins Nauta after 13 years as a partner at Van Bael. He began his private practice career as an associate at Brussels firm Coppens Horsmans Malherbe before moving to Chicago to join SNR Denton legacy firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal.
His practice focuses on tax structures and international tax planning and his arrival strengthens Nauta Dutilh’s tax and corporate teams in Belgium. The firm has not previously had a Brussels-based partner focusing on tax work.
Faes is Nauta Dutilh’s 15th partner in Belgium.
