In an idle moment, Tulkinghorn has been introduced to a new website called the Carlos Work Nickname Generator. It does fairly much what it says on the tin: you put in your name and then it tells you what your work colleagues call you behind your back. Just for fun, Tulkinghorn ran a few of his favourites through and ended up with the following list: Allen & Overy managing partner Guy Beringer is known as 'The Stalker', departing Clifford Chance head Keith Clark is 'Sugar Plum', Linklaters & Alliance toughie Terence Kyle is 'The Towel Boy', Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer incumbent head Peter Jeffcote is strangely called 'The Fist', while Tim Clark at Slaughter and May has the sweet nickname of 'Fuzzie'. For those of you with time on your hands, the website is http://users.snip.net/~cbravo/v2/funn.htm. Just remember - you can't bill for it.
